Event Overview

The Spartanburg Art Museum will host the Inaugural Art & Antique Show, benefiting the Spartanburg Art Museum, on February 21–24, 2008. This exciting event will give people in the Upstate an opportunity to see, to learn about, and to purchase predominantly 18th & 19th century American, English, and Continental antiques and accessories from dealers outside of the Upstate area. Vendor merchandise will include the following: antique furniture, silver, jewelry, porcelain, paintings, fine art, oriental rugs, linens, and garden accessories.

By showcasing a wide array of fine art and antiques and by hosting nationally known speakers, the Art & Antique Show will become the premier fundraising event for the Spartanburg Art Museum (SAM). SAM is a regional museum promoting the visual arts by supporting educational programming; sponsoring diverse exhibitions; acquiring, displaying and conserving a permanent collection; and providing appropriate places for achieving its mission.
