The Spartanburg Art Museum depends on volunteers to assist with almost every aspect of the museum, COLORS and the Art School.  Volunteering at SAM is a wonderful way to become more involved with the local arts scene and give back to the community.  If you are looking to get involved, we have a number of opportunities!  Check below for a list of current volunteer needs.

Reception Desk:  SAM needs volunteers with a passion for art to staff our museum desk!  Volunteers will be in charge of greeting people and answering all questions visitors may have about the museum or art school.

Art School:  Art school volunteers assist instructors with classes, camps, and any special events and programs put on by the art school.

COLORS:  These volunteers work with our COLORS program assisting instructors or filling in as a substitute.

Progams:  The museum needs volunteers to assist with specific special programs such as Art Walk (every Third Thursday of the month), and other events at SAM, including fundraisers, receptions, and children's activities!
