April 25- 5:00- 6:30 pm- Jazz Cocktail Hour at SAM- Spartanburg Art Museum will be hosting a cocktail hour for guests attending Tish Oney's concert at the Chapman Cultural Center on April 25th. Please join us between 5-6:30 pm for light refreshments and cocktails in our gallery.

April 27- 1:30- 3:30 pm- Oil Painting Demonstration by Phil Garrett- Author of Inside Acrylics, Phil Garrett, will give a demonstration in conjunction with the Carl Plansky exhibition. Registration fee is $5, call the museum to register (864-582-7616) Sponsored by Golden Artists Colors Inc.
April 27- 11-2 pm- Slow Art Day- What is Slow Art Day?
One day each year – April 27 in 2013 – people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet together over lunch to talk about their experience. That’s it. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.
Art viewing: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM;
Lunch: 1:00 PM - 2.00 PM,
Catered lunch at Spartanburg Art Museum
