Some Abstraction Required
Some Abstraction Required
April 5th - June 12th, 2016

Some Abstraction Required is a group exhibition featuring the work of nine contemporary artists. Viewers are challenged to consider science and mathematics in conjunction with the visual arts. This exhibition displays a variety of mixed media techniques, including painting, collage, altered books, epoxy clay, and site-specific installation. Some of the themes addressed by the objects include the duality of chance and precision, mathematical systems and patterns, and altering the viewer’s perception of space.

This exhibition is generously sponsored by Lilly and Michael Kohler and Carolina Alliance Bank.
