Robert Woods, Instructor
Saturday; 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
June 10th - July 8th, 2017
Tuition: SAM members $190; non-members $210 - 4 weeks

No class July 1st.

In this class, students will learn how to develop color from commercial stains as well as how to blend from a single stain, biaxial blending and triaxial blending. Each student starts with a base glaze that is different from the other students and will develop and create test samples on tiles. These tile samples will need to be completed during open studio times in order to meet firing schedules before the following class. Students will compare notes at the end and see the results from all of the different stains and base glaze recipes. In order to allow enough time for the instructor to order and gather materials and supplies, please register at least two weeks in advance. Class fee includes all materials and supplies.
