Take advantage of Spartanburg’s beautiful old buildings and become an urban sketcher! Recreate these gems with quick, loose renderings with pencil, marker, and watercolor washes. Sketching will begin in the classroom, working from photographs, then progress to plein air (outdoor) sketching downtown.
Supplies to bring to class
- 11x14 sketchbook
- Black, fine line marker
- HB & 4B drawing pencils
- 2-3 different sizes of pointed water color brushes (choose cheap ones)
- 6 color water color pallet (children's style)

Pre-registration is required for all classes and students are only registered when payment has been received. In order for instructors to plan properly, students should register at least one (1) week before the start date of the class. If you register less than one week before class, the class fee will increase by $10.
