description

Modern Calligraphy is a workshop designed for those who wish to create their own unique script style using free form, mix and match lettering. No Calligraphy experience or handwriting skill is required. Based on the beautiful, flourished copperplate script common in the 18th and 19th centuries, Modern Calligraphy is seen in abundance on Pinterest, and on signs found throughout Hobby Lobby and Michaels craft stores. Using the flexible tip marker, Modern Calligraphy will encourage experimentation and inventiveness with letterforms and flourishes. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of one-on-one instruction. Easel size demonstrations. This class will take place inside of the Spartanburg Art Museum. Materials List Yellow or white lined legal pad 6B pencil 9x14 Bienfang Graphics Pad Eraser 2pk Tombow Fudenosuke Calligraphy Fine Point Brush Pens – Black
