Professional Development | Creating Thematic-Choice Based Lessons

Educators will learn how to incorporate themes and big ideas into lesson planning using contemporary art. This session will cover techniques to encourage a culture of inquiry in the classroom using thematic instruction; review the benefits and some inherent challenges within this pedagogical model and put the practice into motion with a hands-on activity based on the museum’s current exhibition.
