Spartanburg Art Museum is located on the campus of the Chapman Cultural Center at 200 E Saint John Street, Spartanburg South Carolina 29306.
The Museum and administrative office are on the first floor of the West Wing (Carlos Dupre Moseley Building) near Liberty Street. The art studios are on the second floor of the East Wing (Montgomery Building) near S Converse Street.
Spartanburg Art Museum would like to acknowledge that our Museum is located on the traditional land and territory of the Cherokee people both past and present. The Cherokee Tribe was one of many in South Carolina displaced by the Indian Removal Act of 1830. Approximately 1000 Cherokee escaped the Trail of Tears by hiding, eventually becoming the modern Eastern Band of Cherokees located in Cherokee, North Carolina.
Spartanburg Art Museum's temporary COVID-19 hours are as follows:
Sunday - Monday | closed to the public
Tuesday - Saturday | 10am - 5pm
third Thursday ArtWalk | 10am - 8pm (no food or drink will be offered until further notice)
