some abstraction required

4.5.2016 - 6.12.2016

Some Abstraction Required is a group exhibition featuring the work of nine contemporary artists. Viewers are challenged to consider science and mathematics in conjunction with the visual arts. This exhibition displays a variety of mixed media techniques, including painting, collage, altered books, epoxy clay, and site-specific installation. Some of the themes addressed by the objects include the duality of chance and precision, mathematical systems and patterns, and altering the viewer’s perception of space.
